Multi-Station Activation: Assets & Large-Format OOH
Client: Rebel Radio Network (Rebel FM & The Breeze)
Role: Senior Graphic Designer/Brand Guardian
Rebel FM Outside Broadcast and Community Barbeque at Browns Plains Mazda.
THE BRIEF
Objective: To design and systematize a comprehensive suite of brand activation assets for Rebel FM and The Breeze.
The project required a high-impact visual presence that flows seamlessly between high-speed OOH environments (billboards and bus wraps) and on-the-ground experiential events (outside broadcasts).

The Challenge: Ensuring 100% brand fidelity across diverse substrates—from UV-resistant vehicle vinyl, inflatables to magnetic decals—while providing the "street team" with a modular, "plug-and-play" toolkit for rapid deployment in any environment.
THE SOLUTION
I developed a modular brand system that shifted the focus from one-off designs to a scalable activation framework:

Designed for Scale: Prioritized legibility for Transit and OOH campaigns. I worked directly with Go Transit's guidelines to ensure all assets—including region-specific frequencies—remained crisp and high-resolution at a massive scale.

Technical Brand Guardianship: Recreation of legacy assets for the Rebel FM fleet for repairs. This established a documented "Source of Truth" for future repairs.

Managing Transition: For The Breeze, I managed a brand refresh rollout where new assets had to coexist with legacy branding due to budget constraints—maintaining visual cohesion across the asset range.

Production Management: Oversaw production specs for a wide range of materials, including UV-resistant vehicle vinyl, high-tensile fabric for media walls, and weather-resistant magnetic sheets.

Operational Efficiency: Expanded event collateral (A-frames, banners, and media walls) into a "plug-and-play" system. This allowed the promotions team to execute professional, on-brand setups independently.
Mobile Liveries
TECHNICAL RECONSTRUCTION
The Rebel FM BT-50, a primary network asset, required a branding update to remove a previous client sponsorship. As the original vector production files were unavailable, I undertook a reconstruction of the livery using photography and technical diagrams. This ensured the new artwork was technically accurate to the vehicle’s complex contours and established a documented "Source of Truth" for all future fleet maintenance and repairs.
BRAND REFRESH DEPLOYMENT
As part of a brand refresh for The Breeze, I designed and managed the wrap for the station’s Mazda 2. The challenge was to introduce a lighter, fresher, and more youthful personality while ensuring the new identity coexisted with legacy activation assets still in use.

To maximize the utility of the asset, I intentionally designed the wrap to be frequency-neutral. By omitting specific region frequencies, the vehicle can be deployed across multiple markets without requiring brand updates, providing the network with a versatile and cost-effective mobile asset.
Out-of-Home (OOH) & Transit Advertising
HIGH-IMPACT LEGIBILITY AT SCALE
For the Rebel FM and The Breeze full-side bus ads and The Breeze Billboard, the priority was "split-second" recognition. Designing for audiences moving at 80km/h requires a strict hierarchy and essential information only for instant recall.

Technical Production & Collaboration:
I worked closely with the various vedors, adhering to their specific technical guidelines for large-format transit media and billboards ensuring high-resolution output.

Precision Layout:
Managed complex bus-side templates, ensuring key messaging avoided "dead zones" like wheel arches and door handles.
Transit Production: Managed the end-to-end design for full-side bus advertising across The Gold Coast and Wide Bay. I prioritized a 'safe-zone' layout strategy to ensure station frequencies and branding remained unobstructed by vehicle hardware and door mechanisms.

Event Activation Toolkit
THE "PLUG-AND-PLAY" SYSTEM
To support the stations' street teams, a robust collection of event collateral was developed as a modular "plug-and-play" system. The goal was to ensure that a professional, high-fidelity brand presence could be established in any environment—from beach festivals to shopping centre carparks—in under 15 minutes.

By designing an array of pop-up media walls, pull-up banners, and A-frames, stretch table covers, I empowered the promotions team to execute consistent setups independently, regardless of site-specific constraints.

BBQ TRAILER MAGNETS
A key addition to the Rebel FM activation kit was the branding for the community BBQ trailer. Rebel FM hosts these regularly with their community partners for charity and as such it was an opportunity to increase the brands presence at these event. Recognising the need for a durable yet flexible solution, I designed a suite of high-strength, weather-resistant magnetic decals. This allowed for an interchangeable branding system that can be easily updated or removed, ensuring the trailer remains a high-utility asset for various community events and sponsorships and a rollout to market specific decals or Breeze FM in the future
3-DIMENSIONAL BRANDING: THE REBEL FM "ROCK DOG"

As part of the network's asset refresh, I managed the production of a new 5m tall inflatable mascot. The goal was to replace the tired legacy asset with a version that more accurately reflected our brand mascot. I acted as the primary technical liaison between the station and the manufacturer, ensuring the character's personality and proportions translated correctly and that the inflatable met the street team's needs.

Technical Art Direction:
3D Modeling Oversight: I conducted a rigorous "back-and-forth" review process with the manufacturers, providing detailed feedback on their 3D models to correct facial expressions, anatomy, and branding placements.

Operational Readiness:
The final product was engineered for rapid deployment, using weather-resistant nylon and a high-volume internal blower system, creating a durable, high-visibility landmark for community events.
