THE CHALLENGE
Albatross Tours required a comprehensive onboarding solution to prepare customers for long-haul European tours. The target demographic (55+) needed a format that was accessible, highly legible, and easy to navigate on tablet devices without requiring consistent internet access.
THE SOLUTION
I designed "The Wandering Albatross," an interactive digital guide. Focusing on clear Information Architecture, I structured complex itinerary details, packing lists, and cultural guides into an engaging, linear narrative.
THE DESIGN SYSTEM
Accessibility First:
Large, legible typography and high-contrast layouts to suit the senior demographic.
Interactive Navigation:
Hyperlinked contents and clear wayfinding to allow users to jump between sections easily.
Brand Ecosystem Alignment:
The guide was designed to live seamlessly within the existing Albatross Tours visual identity. By strictly adhering to corporate fonts, colour palettes, and styling, I ensured the digital experience felt familiar, trustworthy, and cohesive with the customer's prior booking touchpoints.
Visual Consistency:
I curated and adapted a suite of vector assets to create a unified character family. By modifying stock elements to align with the Albatross brand palette, I established a cost-effective but bespoke visual language.
Emotional Engagement:
Balancing practical travel data with friendly imagery to maintain excitement and ease anxiety during the pre-departure phase.
Adapting stock vectors into a cohesive brand family to enhance the onboarding narrative.
